Creating a strong, secure password is easy if you follow the MEDAL method. MEDAL is an acronym that stands for: Mixed, Easy, Dedicated, Anonymous and Long
| Mixed | Your password must be a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. |
| Easy | Your password should be easy to remember, but difficult to guess. Even your spouse or partner should not be able to guess your password. |
| Dedicated | A password must not be used on multiple websites. Each website must have a unique password in case a website is breached. |
| Anonymous | Your password must not include any identifying information about you. Do not leak your name, birth year or other information in your password or User ID when you create new credentials on a website. |
| Long | Your password must be a long as possible, no less than 12 characters long is strongly recommended. |

- Your password must not include common words or names
- Your password must not include the name of the website
- Your password must not include common phrases like: iloveyou, happytoday, todayisfriday, goodmorning, etc.
